XMB 1.9.9 Lite Released
EDIT BY miqrogroove 19 April 2008
Caution! Version 1.9.9 was never officially completed and is NOT a stable build of XMB!
Hello,
The XMB Group is pleased to announce the final installment in the 1.9 series, 1.9.9 (Lite). This release addresses several bug fixes and security
issues. No further releases are scheduled at this time nor are they anticipated. The only further revisions you will see to 1.9.9 before the release
of 2.0 is if security vulnerabilities need to be patched.
It is recommended that you update as soon as possible. You can download 1.9.9 through the links below or by clicking on the "Download" link in the
navigation menu above.
Please read the included documentation located in the Documentation folder of the download package before proceeding with an installation or
upgrade.
It is worth mentioning that another version of 1.9.9 has also been released, a pro build entitled "Raitei". This version includes several
modifications by default and has undergone significant change from this lite build. For this reason, albeit unpleasant, modifications will in some
cases have to be released in two versions due to the changes that exist in the code bases. We would like to emphasize that multiple versions will NOT
be released in the future, this occurred due to the 1.9.9 release being the final release for the 1.9 series and the time period until the 2.0 release
is expected.
