Distribution and Installation

XMB Garage will now be an 'official' distributor and installer for the Shop Hack by nfpunk. There are 2 forums for the Shop Hack. One for installations and one for support. Posts made for the Shop Hack in any other areas will not be accepted and deleted. This is to help control random posting wherever people feel like it.

Since XMB Garage will only be involved with just the installation of hacks if you choose to download the Shop Hack and install it on your own XMB Garage will not support it. We strongly suggest that only experienced people download the hack. There are too many people that are trying to install this hack when they don't know what they are doing. And there are too many people that are installing multiple hacks at the same time causing too many headaches and problems for support people all across the XMB support boards to deal with. We hope this will help to curb these problems.

PLEASE DO NOT U2U ME FOR GENERAL SUPPORT ISSUES!!!

Effective Immediately (5/26/06): XMBG will no longer be providing support for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) installations of the Shop. The original download is a mess as well as the addons that go with it. Therefore I don't need the extra headaches that go along with this hack and most people's inability to install it and to get a couple of the addons to work with it and one or two other regular hacks that also impact the same areas as the shop hack does.

It is highly doubtful that you will be able to find support for this hack at any of the xmb support sites. But why does XMBG offer the shop for install only? I do this because it is such a popular addon for the xmb forums even though it is widely known that it is buggy and unsecure. But, as in the past, I have not offered this hack and have been inundated with posts, u2u's, etc. about where to get it, will you install it for me?, etc. So instead of dealing with all that rubbish I choose to offer it and support only installations that I perform. But bear in mind, you use this hack at your own risk and XMBG will not be responsible for any damage or harm that comes to your site or your host's sever(s) because of the use of this hack.
