[Resolved] Warning Hack & Upgrade

Hi Guys,

I just notice that we can now upgrade the forum XMB 1.9.3 Nexus here from only $5

nice... Well that is what i intend to do... So that i could request more hacks.. The price are very resonable

But i went in and check the available hacks at the request page...I notice that there isnt any Warning System Hack anymore?

Coz ive got a View Warning hack at my admin but do not have the ability to give warning ...Thats why i need the give warning hack...

If i upgrade my board to XMB 1.9.3 Nexus to i also have to upgrade the portal ???

First off, to give warnings you do so from the viewthread post page. There should be a link for members in the left panel that says [Warn]. Only members can be warned, not staff.

Second, upgrading will wipe out all hacks. So in your free installation request that comes with the upgrade you can request the new portal to be installed. As for the warning hack, it may not be ready in time. There's some bugs with the coding and will probably be rewritten to change some things about it.

So if you still want to go ahead and upgrade you can do so and add other hacks until the warning hack is updated and ready.

Ok thanks for your reply...But seems that i do not have the warn buttons on my forum... Its not the same as my other forum.. Anyway ill take alook at it before upgrading soon

Oh ok i see the warn setting now..It must be turn off so that admin could set warnning..

wow if the upgrade will wipe all hacks so we need to reinstall and that will cost big $$$ am i rite coz xmbg will now charge for hacks intallation

Yeah it will cost money to have hacks installed. All hacks will be updated to be compliant with 1.9.3. You really don't want to run outdated hacks on your board. A lot of the hacks are buggy and many are poorly coded and we, along with xmbxtreme, are working through them to get them updated as soon as possible.
