[Resolved] 1.9rc2 itself?

I am running 1.8, and I want to upgrade to 1.9, but I'm afraid I'll hose it up. Do you guys do that upgrade for people here? One other question, my members and post counts won'tr be erased, will they? I know all the hacks go bye bye, but that other stuff stays, correct?

I just upgraded myself and it's much smoother. No you will not loose your members or your posts however yes the hacks are removed. I didn't have any problems upgrading it's really self explanitory

The issue I'm having, is that I replaced all of my php files, yet when I run the upgrade, it says "Could not locate a valid installation of XMB. Please check if config.php is correctly configured
1" This is while trying to open the XMB upgrade template.

I have created an SQL dump that will carry out the upgrade for you. It will also retain all hack date (EX: money, country, referrals, etc. etc.). If you would like to try that, let me know.

Adam, does the sql dump, mean that we WILL NOT lose any hacks by using it, or just the tables?

All hack's will still be lost, as you have to use new files. All hack data will remain (money, referrals, country etc. etc.), so once the hack's are installed again all members do not have to re-enter the details (Or start from 0 with the money).
